I live in a house with three friends, in a cozy little bedroom that's easy to tidy (but never is anyway), with two stuffed bookshelves and a cupboard full of old hidden writings. I sleep on a futon. I have a year-old kitten named Griever. He's grey and dusty with gorgeous eyes; also, hyper and spaztic and sometimes snugglable.

My hair's dyed red because I want to look outgoing. It's still not a secret that I'm painfully boring.

I identify as a writer. It's the one thing I do to which all other private endeavours are ends, admittedly often distant ends related by slim threads of rationalization. I want to write books. Novels, short stories. Right now, I'm most interested in dirty, grimy, humanistic science fiction, and the dynamics of polyamorous relationships. Someday I shall produce an unbelievably sexy unorthodox romance a'la AI and incest.

I subscribe to Buddhist philosophy, in an entirely materialistic sense. To expand, rebirth and karma describe observable (or theoretically observable) trains of caused happenstances and their effects over time. This includes physics, it includes evolution, and it includes the the private mind. Meditation is good, though I don't do it much; belief in the 'soul' or the 'self' as anything more than a metaphor for complex processes is bad, though I stumble into that all the time (just like everyone else). There are no levels of heaven or hell, there is no Pure Land, and ritual, while enjoyable and powerful, does not reach beyond participating minds. God, of course, is right out. Actually, I'm presently on a more-adament-than-usual atheistic kick.

I want to travel. Who doesn't? No, I mean, I REALLY want to travel.

I love moral philosophy and buddhist psychology. I privately rally against psychiatry and am highly suspicious of any psychology that uses dominance as a tool. I'm a feminist in the accurate sense of the word (go equality). Since the start of my teens, I've had a gleefully enthusiastic preoccupation with apocalyptic fantasy.

I'm notorious (in my own mind) for having conversational one night stands. If I'm hanging out with you, and I get intoxicated, expect to talk. A lot. For a long time. And don't expect me to remember any of it in the morning.

"Slash takes away what society has told men is rightfully theirs: the woman’s submission and body. For the women behind it, it is an unwitting rebellion, a vague inkling and blind pursuit of what lies behind the hegemonic curtain. It is a way for women to speak without knowing what they say: No. This thing you have created for me, out of me, this violation, this prison -- it is unnatural. You are not what I want. I want control. I want equality.
And until they get it, they’ll be Mary Sue."
